ICELAND

An unforgettable, father/daughter adventure!

My father and I embarked on a ten day adventure driving along Iceland’s legendary and scenic “Ring Road". This was the most spectacular road trip enjoying natural attractions, eating the freshest food and photographing epic scenery. A magical land so far, far away filled with rainbows, waterfalls, glaciers, geysirs and mountains galore! Highlights: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Goðafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Kirkjufoss, Glacier Lagoon, Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the lunar landscapes of Lake Mývatn, complete with craters and unearthly rock formations.

"Thank you Dad for inviting me on this epic adventure with you. It was a joy to travel and spend quality time just you and me. We may never get a chance like this again, so I will cherish it forever!"

MeWilsonPeak-1.jpg

"tappin' the Rockies" climbing Wilson Peak, 14,023 ft.

The famous peak from the "Coors" logo, Wilson Peak is one of the most prominent peaks of the Colorado Rockies. Located down in the San Juan mountain range, it can be accessed hiking to Navajo Lake. A very treacherous rock climb for the finish line was well worth it to take in these breathtaking views of the San Juans.

Dolomiti, Italia

Dolomiti-34.jpg

Anytime I get a chance to travel to Europe, I return to Italy time and time again. I have trained, planed and automobiled and I highly recommend driving the countryside. I was looking to escape the city crowds & traffic, and experience life in the mountains. Tucked away in the hills of the German-Italian Alps are quaint towns full of culture and the simple life. The Dolomites were high on my list to climb and from Germany down to Italy we traveled!             The jagged, limestone picturesque peaks did not disappoint!

Highlights: The hundreds of via ferratas, the Refugios, Tre Cimi, Cinque Torre, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Val di Fanes and my favorite the war caves on the Forcella Lagazuoi trail.

The Great War in the Dolomites...the most bitterly fought battles occurred back in 1914 between the Austro-Hungarian Empire & Italian army over these famous peaks. The soldiers were forced to undergo extreme conditions and severe winters in the high mountains. This was the most treacherous battle of World War I.
